Reporting a bug

These help us find it fast:

  • The app version (Settings, About) and your device and OS.
  • The host: the output of gudo-hostd build-info.
  • What you did, what you expected, and what happened.
  • A screenshot or screen recording, if it shows the problem. Check it for secrets first.

Security issues

Please don't open a public issue. Send a private report on GitHub instead, and we'll get back to you there.

Common fixes

A host shows as offline

On the host, run gudo-hostd status. On Linux, check the service with systemctl --user status gudo-hostd. If it stops when you log out, run sudo loginctl enable-linger $USER once.

The pairing ticket doesn't work

Tickets are single use and expire after 10 minutes. Run gudo pair again for a new one, or choose Pair a Device in Gudo on a device that is already paired.

No notifications

Check that notifications for Gudo are on in Settings on your iPhone or iPad, and that the agent was started from Gudo.
